Hey Besties!  If you are looking for an episode that goes completely off the rails in the best way possible, you have found it.  This week on the podcast, we are sitting down with the incredible dark romance author KL Hill!!  We talk about everything from the dark depths of thriller romance to some truly wild real life stories... I am talking full on naked beaches, the Orgy Dome rules at Burning Man, and crossing the Canadian border!

You know we have to start things off right.  This week's signature drink is a bright blue concoction that we are just calling "Blue, yeah, its Fruity".  It is sweet, a little tart, and goes perfectly with discussions about alien races and wicker penises. (Yes, you read that right, we totally go there).

Before we even get to the books, we had to swap some ridiculous travel tales.  The group shared a completely unexpected naked beach experience with naked men just out in the wild!  We also talk about the vibrant art and community culture of Burning Man... Did you know there are very specific rules for the Orgy Dome?  We got all the cultural insights on nudity and lifestyle exploration across different countries, and let me tell you, we are sobbing from laughing so hard.  "Nice Titties?" was definitely a memorable quote from this chat.

"With wicker penises, hmm." (You really need to listen to the audio for that one, you will die laughing).

You know I cannot get through an episode without talking about Sarah J. Maas!  We put on our tin foil hats and swapped theories about upcoming book releases.  We looked closely at the role of POVs in the Maasverse and how those shifts hint at massive character development.  My book hangover from the last release is still going strong, but my TBR is read for whatever she drops next!

Our girl Kirsty jumped in with some amazing series insights and her top book recommendations with her re-read of Throne of Glass.  We love when the cohosts bring the heat and Kirsty delivered some fantastic thoughts!

We also had a quick trope trial where we sentenced some overused AI author trends and copyright issues straight to the grave!  We like our books written by real humans with real messy feelings.....no fake stuff allowed here.
